Hello! I’m Eleanor.

I’m a mother to three, soon to be four beautiful children, and a self-taught home cook. My writing journey began twelve years ago as a young mum in my early twenties with a humble recipe blog called Petite Kitchen. The name was inspired by the charming little art deco apartment we called home at the time.

What followed was a whirlwind of experiences. My first cookbooks became best-sellers, capturing hearts and kitchens around the world, with four of them translated into multiple languages. I also fulfilled a lifelong dream by co-founding a beloved Auckland café named Mondays, which earned a place in the Metro top 50. Along the way, I had the joy of writing for esteemed publications including VIVA - The New Zealand Herald, Taste Magazine, The Telegraph, The Guardian, and more recently, a monthly lifestyle column for Your Home and Garden Magazine.

Despite being at the pinnacle of my career, I found myself yearning for a slower pace of life. By shedding unnecessary clutter and adopting a simpler lifestyle, I discovered I had more time and energy to savour the moments with loved ones and appreciate life's small, beautiful pleasures.

Eight books and five online cookery courses later, you’ll still find me pottering around in my kitchen, creating delicious meals and reflecting on a more romantic way of living. Thank you for reading, and I hope you find joy and inspiration in what I have to offer.

Eleanor xo
